Artist Statment
My work starts with photography but does not end there. I am interested in ways my images can exist in the wold beyond gelatin silver prints. Once my image is processed it is reworked into fabric or other forms of paper. By merging my photography with printmaking and textiles, I explore how my images can transform, and be in conbservation with the material it is printed on to.
Through this process, I am able to give my photography a new life outside of it’s traditional form. My photography then not only keeps its traditional qualities but also is able to connect with my great-grandmother, who was a textile artist and painter.
